1. Will MatchMove discontinue services offered by Thunes?
Yes, though cross-border services will continue to operate without interruption, all remittance services via Thunes will be discontinued w.e.f January 1, 2025.
You can still send money through AUB Bank account transfers to the Philippines or opt for cash pick-up services via AUB Branches, LBC Express, Palawan and M Lhuillier centres.
2. Will cross-border services stop operating?
No, cross-border services will continue to operate without interruption except for Thunes Remittance.
3. What happens to transactions that were initiated before the service was discontinued?
If you initiate the transaction on or before December 31, 2024, and it’s processed during business hours, it will be completed. However, if you initiate it on or after January 1, 2025, the transaction will be rejected.
4. Will I get a refund if my transaction is cancelled?
Refund Initiation: The provider should automatically refund the money if the transaction is declined. The refund will typically be processed to the original payment method (e.g., bank account, credit/debit card, or wallet).

1. Will the Thunes cash pick-up transaction be processed on December 31, 2024?
On or Before December 31, 2024: If the transaction is initiated on or before December 31, 2024, the provider will process the transaction on that day during business hours.
After December 31, 2024: If the transaction is initiated after December 31, 2024, the transaction will not be processed.
